54% Of NSMQ Twitter Fans Predict Quarter Finals Win for Opoku Ware SHS

The 2018 NSMQ, which also is the twenty-fifth anniversary edition, is currently ongoing with its series of the one-eight stage contest, amidst a lot of excitement and nerve racking shows.

So far 9 out of the 27 one-stage contests have been concluded with some schools packing their bags back home while others continue their preparations towards the remaining stages of the contest.

Myshsrank.com has observed both on social media and at the contest venue that a lot of students and alumni are following closely, especially those whose SHS are participating.

Meanwhile NSMQ Twitter Fans predicts a win for Opoku Ware SHS, as the organizers of the event posted the voting on their official Twitter handle to gauge the expectation for that pending contest.

With 1,444 votes as observed by myshsrank.com at 2:30am on Thursday 21st June with six hours left to end that twitter votes, the following is what the fans are predicting:

  1. Opoku Ware School – 54%
  2. GSTS – 41%
  3. Mount Carmel Girls’ – 5%

It is clear the contest will be much hotter between OWASS and GSTS unless Mount Carmel Girls’ pulls a surprise, which can happen.

Surprises in such highly competitive contest are bound to happen, especially as Sonrise SHS, first timers in the contest pulled a surprised victory over Opoku Ware SHS in the prelim stages.

So far, the big names that have qualified to the quarter finals includes:

  1. KNUST SHS
  2. Mfantsipim School
  3. PRESEC Legon
  4. Ghana National College
  5. Aburi Girls’ SHS
  6. University Practice SHS
  7. St. Louis SHS
  8. Sandema SHTS (another first timer)
  9. Adisadel College

Opoku Ware SHS will be featured alongside Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) and Mt. Carmel Girls’ SHS in the 10th contest which takes place on Thursday 21st June 2018, at the UGBS Amegashie Auditorium at 9am.
