NADMO monitors and educates public on adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols

The Greater Accra Regional National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO, under the leadership of the Regional Director, Archibald Cobbina, has for the past weeks monitored and educated a cross-section of the public on the new COVID-19 variant, how it spreads, and the symptoms associated with it.

The sensitization has taken place in 29 districts in the region.

Regional workers of NADMO were taken through the appropriate ways of adhering to the COVID-19 Protocols such as proper way of washing and hand sanitizing by some officials of the Ghana Health Service.

Training manuals were also provided to be shared with the Municipal and District offices of NADMO.

Under the guidance of the Regional Director of NADMO, Regional workers were delegated to the District and Municipal NADMO Offices to educate them on the training by Ghana Health Service.

The Director General of NADMO, Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, directed all regional and District NADMO offices to run a shift system and undertake public sensitization programs, as well as adhere to all the COVID-19 safety protocols.

NADMO Regional Staff in the past weeks joined the District and Municipal NADMO officers in their sensitization programmes.

The public education was largely one-on-one engagements with some members of the public.
